Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Diane Walsh and I am the owner and creator of The Regal Hound (formerly Martingale Collars Online). I am also the event and adoption coordinator for my local Greyhound Rescue Group. A percentage of my collar sales go directly to the retired racers in need of a permanent home.

I became familiar with Martingale collars when I adopted my first greyhound. An ordinary collar doesn't work for the narrow head and long neck of a greyhound: they simply back right out of a traditional collar. This is also true of dogs of similar structure in the sighthound group, including: Whippets, Borzoi, Saluki, Italian Greyhounds, etc.

I have an education and background in Interior Design and have always enjoyed working with color and fabric. After adopting my second greyhound, I decided to design a few collars of my own instead of relying on purchasing collars that were nice, but not quite what I had in mind. I wanted to be original, and so I began the exhaustive search for trims and fabrics.

I create collars that have universal appeal. I love the infused color of my plaids, the whimsicality of my animal-inspired trims, and the beauty of the complicated jacquards designed from ancient patterns.

My collection of Martingale and traditional buckle collars continues to expand. I have a third greyhound now, which adds more inspiration, and creativity to the process. I enjoy my customers' feedback and try to work with their ideas also!
